This palace was built in the mid-17th century to be the residence of Dr. Anguís Medinilla. Later it was inherited by his nephew, Álvaro de Torres, who gives his name to the quiet and pleasant square where the building is located. This manor house reliably evokes the urban atmosphere of Renaissance Úbeda.

Its facade is divided into two parts and has a lintelled doorway above which there is a balcony with heraldic symbols on the sides. The building also has a bright columned interior patio, characteristic of this type of Renaissance building, and a rear courtyard that connects to some of the narrow streets of the Santo Domingo neighbourhood.

The Anguís de Medinilla palace was donated to the town and currently functions as municipal offices.
