A secluded Mudéjar house built between the 14th and 15th centuries now houses a museum that takes us back through the exciting past of a town whose origins date back to the Bronze Age.

One of the peculiarities of the Archaeological Museum is that the exhibition space has been adapted to the shape of the building, organised around a central patio decorated with sculptures, fragments of architectural elements, and Roman funerary steles.

On the ground floor you will find various prehistoric remains, such as stone tools from Paleolithic sites in the region and ceramics and metal objects used as funerary offerings from the Bronze Age excavated in the Alcázar neighborhood of Úbeda. The first floor houses pieces from the Iberian and Roman periods, such as cinerary urns. You will also find pottery for domestic use from medieval and modern times found in Úbeda and the province of Jaén.
