The Church of La Santísima Trinidad is one of the few examples of Baroque architecture in the town of Úbeda. The limited use of this style in the town is understandable given the enormous influence of the Renaissance that lasted well into the 18th century in Úbeda.

The original church that occupied this site was erected in the middle of the 13th century by the order of the los Redentores Descalzos (Barefoot Redeemers). However, a fire during the border revolts at the time of the Reconquest and various subsequent collapses forced it to be rebuilt on numerous occasions, the last being in 1727. On the outside of the Church, the Mannerist tower and the profuse ornamentation of its doorways are noteworthy. On the west entrance we can admire, between two swirls, the representation of the Holy Trinity, to which the church is dedicated. Inside, the Solomonic columns that were used here for the first time in the province of Jaén, are striking.

Next to the church is the old convent, which currently houses a school. This building preserves two cloisters, although it originally had one more, which was demolished in the 1960s to build the current Post Office.
