Paco Luis Martos, after a 20-year career as a craftsman dedicated to the restoration and manufacture of artistic coffered ceilings of the Mudejar and Renaissance type, has not only managed to recover, maintain and guarantee the continuity of this artistic and artisan specialty, which was in disappearing, but has managed to bring a model of craftsmanship, purely Spanish, to the field of civil marketing (residential housing) and its internationalization in the world, through “shop windows” of undeniable projection for the rest of the world.
In his aspect of recovery and maintenance of artisan knowledge and work, Paco Luis Martos maintains the same way of doing things as 1,000 years ago when the first wooden roofs appeared on the peninsula under Islamic influence and from whose examples we inherit alhambras, alcazars and buildings religious Arabs, Christians and Jews. The Mudejar coffered ceiling constitutes a common link between religious cultural identities that use similar decorative elements to capture a unique art, which is developed exclusively in Spain and has a highly appreciated and recognized artistic and cultural value throughout the world.
